A quick run to yoga and back. It doesn't really count as much of a run, but it does make yoga all the much more enjoyable and useful.
Well, I decided to go a short distance because my calves have been bothering me and I have yoga soon. So what did I do? I ran that short distance too fast and my calves are bothering me even more! ... read more
Boy are my calves not happy, but boy am I for pushing through it. :)
How many more times do I have to say "Hey there, running, I'm back!" before I get in my groove this spring? Hopefully none.
Why hello there, running!
Well, that didn't go as planned. First time trying to run with the vibram five fingers in the snow. Toes. Are. Wet. And. Frozen. Even wore the thicker injini toe socks. Anyone else running in their... read more
I can't run in the snow in VFF either, my feet get so cold they hurt. I just started using this aqua bootie combo last week and love it: http://birthdayshoes.com/winter-running-with-o-neill-reactor-reef-boots . I had been running in WuShu shoes, but I don't suggest that. They get soggy and cold.

Back on the horse again. First run since before I left for China back in late October. Had to run in my old running shoes (+ yaktrax) instead of the fivefingers because I lack any pair of toe'd soc... read more

Ugh, I either need to stop running in Bird, or wear shoes. This bruise on the bottom of my left foot is just getting aggravated every time. :/
Longest run I've done since th 10k on July 4th in Hannibal, MO (the "Cannibal"). Felt great! I really need to let myself take an hour and a half (or two) every day to run.
Felt really really good, as you can see by my pace, which is surprising because I stubbed my toe (again) and was blown away by this RadioLab podcast: http://www.radiolab.org/2010/apr/05/limits-of-s... read more
Great pace! I'd love to be able to run that fast.

Abs are feeling it from yesterday's post run core stuff. And the bruised left foot is doing better. So, even though my time was a bit slower and I didn't quite have the bounce in my step (which is ... read more
The bruise on the ball of my foot got a little aggervated today during the run and is now a bit inflamed (ie: I feel a bit of a hard/sensitive spot). But, it didn't restrict my ability too much and... read more
Went really well! Other than the bruise on the ball of my foot, that is :) I'm really liking the Bird Hill Preservation Area. Nice scenery, fun hills, and when you run into people they are all pret... read more
Aside from a little bit of burning in my left toe (better check those VFF's fit again), a little bit of tight/crampy stomach muscles, and it getting too dark to run back through Miller Park on the ... read more
Also, maybe I shouldn't have picked such a hilly route for my first time back. I bet my calves will be hurting tomorrow!
