I officiallly love my new compression socks the Mr. got for me. They aren't the calf kind which is fine with me. My left big toe has been broken a few times and has always bothered me running along with a few other bones in my feet that are becoming 'arthritic' - (great doesnt that mean old stuff?) This was the first run I have had where my bones in my feet didn't hurt after!!! I think I just need to run in a compression bubble. Scout was a trooper and got complimented by another runner we see in the mornings. Paul did a walk this morning with Lady- he has his PFT test tomorrow so is taking it easy today. Off to the garden center for the day- looks to be a beautiful one! Happy Monday everyone!!! did a warm up of the 60/60/60 too

Enjoy your socks. Nice 5 mile run!

Compression socks feel great -- like a foot massage with each step. Excellent 5 this morning, and congrats to Scout on her compliment!

Good job on the run! I've been thinking about trying compression socks - looks like I need to add them to the list of wants :)

Nice 5 miles and great news that you felt good afterwards. BTW It is not a sign of old age, it is a sign of getting the most out of every step you've taken :)

they are like the pants but the socks come in all different hights.. some are the foot with the entire calf up to below the knees- I got the kind that are just above the top of my shoes- cover the ankles. They contour my foot- I dont understand how they work but though the pressure being on the right parts of the foot it relieves pressures and decreases that lactic acid stuff. I think my toes stay too loose so they hurt when I am done- these kept them in check.

Whoo hoo for compression socks. That is great if they work for you. I can't imagine running with sore toes all the time. I can't stand it if my shoes are tied the wrong way. Glad these helped. I didn't know they come in different heights, I have only seen the knee high ones. Great run and have a good day gardening!

Yay for compression socks! The Mr. swears by them (he'd live in head to toe compression if i didn't threaten to leave him). I have a pair that I am sure are great, I just never remember to put them on. Happy gardening!
