good 7 mile trail run - Alum Rock ... 7.01 mi 00:59 08:23 pace
Great recovery run. I felt strong and fast for it being so hilly. I focused a lot on my midfoot striking. My pic at SD really woke me up when I saw how much of a heel striker I am (makes sense why ... read more

blah San Diego Rock n' Roll Marathon 26.38 mi 03:58 09:01 pace
Disappointing run and I didn't hit my goal (3:45) or pr. I was on pace but started too fast the first half. I was supposed to do 8:45's the first half and 8:25's the second, but I go... read more

Don't even worry about it Alex, you have plenty of other races to meet a goal time. Besides you already broke your PR, I mean, we can't all be PR Whores. hahaahah It's time to get ready for SFM!!

The stories are all the same. Goal time for me of 3:42, came in at 3:52. Hated Fiesta Island which added the extra 10 minutes for me. I too saw the diapered guy with the monkey on his back. Hilarious. I was trying to keep up with the American flag bearers, but they took me over the last 2 miles. Ah well, just means I have to run another one this year.

Good ol' Alum Rock Park. A bit sluggish the first 1.5 miles, but was solid after that. 1152 ft elevation gain the first 4 miles. Flying downhill after that.

AR is a great place for elevation runs. Air's also a little fresher (unless there're BBQ parties going on :))

great 6 mile Hostetter Rd. 6 mi 00:46 07:41 pace
Great run despite it being cold and windy at first. To make things worse, it started pouring rain halfway through my run! Still, it was one of my best runs in awhile! :)
