On the treadmill again, bumping the mileage up little by little. Mile 1: 11:15. Mile 2: 10:20. Felt awesome!

First run back after an injury hiatus. It felt tight and sore, but not painful. Trying again on Wednesday night.

Nice first "long" ride back on Little Grey. 10 miles to and from Fleet Feet, 12 miles of cheering on the running group and wishing I were running with them. At least I got some hill train... read more

RUN

My lovely coaches planned out a nice hilly route for us today. ;) I struggled a lot through the first 5 miles, but the last 4 miles went pretty well, and we ended up coming in really close to the p... read more

Great job! You don't run with walk breaks anymore right? This is an awesome pace and I can't wait to catch up! :)

Nope, I'm working on trying to run things straight! We took about a 2 minute break in the middle to Gu and down some water. :)

That's awesome! I'm working up to it for shorter distances -- I'm up to 6.5 miles now -- but I don't think I'll ever race without walk breaks or even run much farther than this without walking but it's neat to see how far I can go.

walk
injured 00:30
Shins were way too bad to do hill repeats with the group. So I did a 30 minute walk and preserved the shins for the 8 miles they are going to do just fine at on Saturday.

RUN
injured 3.5 mi 00:38 10:51 pace
My shin is really, really cranky. But Jaqueline and I are in the zone, we just ran this one by feel and came out faster than the 11:30 easy pace we're supposed to do. That's awesome!

Totally stoked about the pace for our easy run, not so stoked about shin splints and feeling crappy.

RUN
great 7 mi 01:20 11:25 pace
Awesome long run, hit the pace we were shooting for! I was sluggish in the middle there but brought it home strong. Probably the best 7 mile training run I've done without a run/walk pattern.
