This was HARD!! I vow to do better next year. Somewhere around mile 9 my right leg felt as if it wanted to detach from my body. My knee and foot were killing me, but I made it to the finish line. I walked way more than I wanted to, but at the end of it all I decided I was proud of myself for finishing. I learned a few lessons during this one too. Like make sure you have enough fuel to keep you going for 13 miles, and don't forget to drink plenty of water leading up to the event! I did not drink nearly enough water leading up to Saturday. But these are all things I will do differently next year. Although during the race I was convinced I would never do this again.
