All things considered I felt really good. 10 min pace when running, ill take it. I'm liking the ability to recover better. I felt like crap after 25 miles at Indy, but I honestly felt no worse today than if I had done some hard speed work.

I know the feeling. it's from being so damn competitive! It just makes you more hungry! You did awesome - allow yourself to be proud and know you can try again!

Raising the bar and striving for what is beyond is wired into many of us, that is good -- what I would say, however, is don't lose focus of what made you start running in the first place. Running is awesome because it is simple and easy to love (or hate). Don't get caught up in the goals, etc. and fall out of love with it - take it from someone who walked away from competitive running for years for that exact reason.

Thanks all, I know it's a fine line to balance. I'm trying to run for the love of it, but I do like trying to be competitive and it's running thru my blood so it's hard to shut that down and enjoy what I'm experiencing it

You did it! We were commenting this morning on what a challenge it must have been to run 50 mostly in the dark. Congrats on a great run. Your efforts keep me motivated and inspired. Wish I could pound out all the miles you do, but I'd be broken in a week. Nice work, man!

It was estimated by some who had ran the loops prior that it was around 10,000 ft asc/dsc the few Strava reports Ive seen peg it at 8,000ft so 16KEC is still alot.
