Running miles are going up so it's time to bring back the weekly cross-training ride. First time on a bike since I did the Race Across the Window in early June and the first time I've ridden the TT bike since the Brooklyn Duathon in mid-May. It hurt... a lot. Shoulders, back and arms are dead and my legs have zero punch. It's safe to say that my bike fitness is as low as it's been in years.

I'm inspired to ride more, but getting in a decent workout just takes too damn long. I don't have time. Gone are the days of luxurious 3 hour rides and an afternoon nap.

    Good job putting yourself out there, regardless. What kind of TT bike do you ride?

    Cervelo P2SL. It's aluminum and a few years old. I bought it when carbon was still a touch too expensive for me. Now, however, you can get a decent carbon bike for what I paid for it.

    Are you about a 58" or 60"? I need to break myself in on a basic road bike first.

    58" but each manufacturer has it's own idea of how long a centimeter is so you need to sit on the bike. the reach is also very different across brands. go to Ride Brooklyn if you want to check things out. avoid R&A Cycles like the plague.
