Much better than the ride last week, though I had to take my iPhone with me to listen to music. My position on the bike still sucks, which on a TT bike is critical, but my neck and shoulders aren't wrecked like last time.

  2. greatProspect Park - 6.8m (2 loops) 6.75 mi 00:47 06:58 pace

I wish you could click the "bla" face and the "great" face at the same time. Did the run I was supposed to do last night — one loop at race pace +:30 and another at race pace. It hurt and was mentally tough, but it was that awesom... read more

Shit run. A problem for upcoming races. Running out of training time. Need to regroup, rethink.

  4. goodProspect Park - 5.4m 5.43 mi 00:41 07:33 pace

Easy recovery run in 95º with 55% humidity.... I love it. Maybe I should train for Badwater.

I was hoping that it would rain while I ran, but it didn't start until I finished.

  5. goodProspect Park - 8m CC 8.2 mi 01:15 09:08 pace

Coaching the marathon group — Africa hot, but the pace was slow and I stopped twice to wait for people. Felt good, but ran the last 3 non-stop at my pace. Hit a little rough spot in the last mile, but I've been feeling tired the last couple days. Tha... read more

  6. alrightProspect Park - 17m (5 loops) 20.38 mi 01:09 17.8mph pace

Running miles are going up so it's time to bring back the weekly cross-training ride. First time on a bike since I did the Race Across the Window in early June and the first time I've ridden the TT bike since the Brooklyn Duathon in mid-May. It hurt...... read more

Good job putting yourself out there, regardless. What kind of TT bike do you ride?

Cervelo P2SL. It's aluminum and a few years old. I bought it when carbon was still a touch too expensive for me. Now, however, you can get a decent carbon bike for what I paid for it.

Are you about a 58" or 60"? I need to break myself in on a basic road bike first.

58" but each manufacturer has it's own idea of how long a centimeter is so you need to sit on the bike. the reach is also very different across brands. go to Ride Brooklyn if you want to check things out. avoid R&A Cycles like the plague.

  7. goodModerate - 5.4 5.4 mi 00:43 07:57 pace

Casual run w/ Laura. First night/day back to back in awhile. Not feeling Lymie at all. Had to take the 1m w/u super slow, but it worked out nicely. Actually felt comfortable in the heat - 80º w/ 75% humidity. Getting acclimatized for Falmouth.

  8. alrightEasy - 4m (coaching) 4 mi 00:35 08:45 pace

First run with marathon group. Easy, chatty, slow with a hard 1 mile pickup.

  9. goodCape Cod - Race Point Loop 2 5.44 mi 00:46 08:23 pace

Strange run. Need to redo it with GPS as I think it's longer than this, but it's hard to map it since much of the trail is tree covered and I can't see it on the map. I'm guessing based off the Parks Department map. Anyway... very, very hilly and hot s... read more
