good Moderate - PP 3.4M 3.39 mi 00:25 07:15 pace
Went out solo and ran by feel only looking at the Garmin at the mile splits. Very easy to hold 7:15 pace without much effort. With the cooler evening air I didn't even really start sweating until t... read more

Funny. I just watched that video for the first time the other day -- shortly after listening to a podcast featuring Julie Moss talk about her 1980 IM crawl-to-finish.

great Tennis – Thunder Bay 2.25M 2.21 mi 01:55 52:04 pace
I never thought I'd run 2.21 miles during a match of doubles tennis, but that's what the Garmin says. I played an hour and a half of singles in the morning too so I probably ran 3.5M just playing ... read more

I need to start listening the Garmin. I seriously thought it switched to kilometers up here in Canada when I saw repeated 7:10ish pace splits when it felt like 7:30. Sure enough it was right and I ... read more

Why can't #dailymile give me a view like my Garmin Connect? I love being able to see everything in a calendar view. #running
1 person liked what J Geoffrey shared-
Nice. Even if it was only weekly, that would be cool. I think too many people want their data in easily viewed graphics instead of 'hard' numbers. Would be nice to have the option, wouldn't it.

Was supposed to do 15 of these, but quit after 8. I went out too fast @ roughly 5:19-5:30 pace on the hard segments. I assumed that the Garmin was wrong so I just kept pushing it. It sure looks lik... read more

Where's your adventurous spirit. Shorts are overrated. [laugh] You could just run in what nature provided you. [bigger laugh] Sorry you missed 40, but I'm sure your parents were glad to see ya'.
PS. leave a spare running outfit at your folks for next time, just in case.

Bored with doing hill sprints I mixed it up tonight. Did 5M at 7:00-7:30 pace and then did 3 stair figure eights. If you run in Prospect Park and you've not done stair figure eights, try them.

A-race is the Falmouth Road Race (7M) in mid-August, but I'm gonna do the Battle of Brooklyn 10M too. A-race after that is Grete's. You?

A-race at the moment is the NYRR sprint tri, with the Queens half coming in 2nd. Then I guess it's NYCM training, but I may do some other halfs before then.
