almost 2 miles shorter but 3 min longer than yesterday, first time i have done this ride on back to back days and my legs felt very tired. blew up my old route and it worked out very well. google maps suggested i take the bellflower bike path which i didnt know existed, it is along a defunct railway line and it cut mileage out and was very pleasant and i didnt get hit by sprinklers like i do going through heartwell park. down side is the route (purposefully i think) forces you to slow down at street crossings by not having a straight across set up but having the ramp and cross walk 15 yards to the left or right of the trail to connect to the other side so you slow down even when there is no traffic but once i know the route better i can hop some curbs and cut some corners at those spots. after doing the commute dozens of times it was cool going through so much new terrain and i will get faster as my legs get used to my new routine.
