great Lake Q loop 10.02 mi 01:15 07:30 pace
Tried to work some speed into this run. From miles 1 to 8, at the start of each mile I picked up the pace for 1 minute. I stole this run from Nate Jenkins, except I believe his run was 21 miles of ... read more

great Lynn Woods 8.02 mi 01:15 09:22 pace
Did some loops around Lynn Woods this morning. For some reason, everytime I run here the weather turns crappy. Maybe I should stop running here so spring will finally arrive?

Good run this morning in the Fells. First time on the trails in the dark with my knuckle lights and they worked pretty well. I wish they had a spotlight in addition to their flood mode. I may need ... read more

alright Beaman Pond plus some extra 9.49 mi 01:27 09:11 pace
This was supposed to be a combination of a Beaman's run and the beginning of Airport backwards, but Airport was flooded so I had to turn around and head back. Wanted 12, but 9.5 was an ok run.... read more

blah Icy roads 3.08 mi 00:28 09:10 pace
Was scheduled for at least 5 miles, but after the snow and the rain yesterday the roads were very slick with black ice. I had to slow my pace down a lot and in turn had to reduce my miles.

I've always used a headlamp, thinking the knuckle lights would be too much motion for good steady illumination (or would force me to alter me arm swing). Do they work well for you (aside from the no spotlight thing)?

Since there are two lamps and they both are flood style, they overlap each other and create a constant light. I barely notice any motion of light while running, unless I really start getting my form off. They actually improve my form forcing me to keep my arms swinging straight and not across my body. They work wonderfully for roads, but its the trails where I would like to look farther ahead or maybe off into the woods with a spotlight.
