A little flat today, my legs still felt tired when I got up and I was still jonesin' for a rest day. They can't all feel great. Ready to call it a week.

Wasn't there for the Runner's Edge, big crowds kinda scared me off. I'm there every other week though!

Legs are super tired today, but the run felt surprisingly good. Took it really easy in preparation for tomorrow's long run.

  4. alrightTrack Workout 7.75 mi / 00:60 07:41 pace

First outdoor track workout of the year! It was pitch black and by the end I couldn't tell if the stars I was seeing were in the sky or due to lack of O2!
    Opted for 6x800m 2:48, 2:59, 2:55, 3:01, 2:57, 2:55, overcooked the first one and 80s recoveries ... read more

Motivation was low and legs felt tired today. I'll be interested to see how they hold up for intervals tonight. I keep hearing in the back of my head "you can skip speedwork...you wouldn't want to run hard when you are tired anyway." This onl... read more

  8. tiredSand Creek Greenway to Colfax 9.28 mi / 01:15 08:05 pace

Run today turned into pseudo tempo run. I was late heading out and I missed Brian so I picked it up to try to catch up with him. Ended up running about 3 miles tempo on very tired legs, but was able to take it easier for the rest. I think it's good tr... read more

  9. greatSand Creek Greenway to Colfax 9.28 mi / 01:07 07:11 pace

Added a mile to the tempo portion of this week's run, I think the wind slowed me down a bit though. Still good hard effort and my legs are feeling it. Will have to get a shakeout run in tonight.

    • David David

Nice run... see that you are also in for the PR half. Do you know much about that course --- it will be my first time on it.

It's flatter than flat, but you have to save some steam for the big overpass at the end. Also, the bike path can get kind of crowded near the start so a faster start can be benificial.

Tested out the @mapmyrun iPhone app. I don't usually run with a phone, but I had pockets and was running slow so I figured I'd give it a shot. Not sure the distance was right, but the route seemed accurate enough.

i have tried several iphone tracking apps, and i am not too pleased with them. i do a lot of trail running and sharp corners are not tracked very well. imapmyrun, runmeter, and motionX. i like the feedback features of imapmyrun and runmeter.
