  1. RUN
alright Hudson River Greenway 2.87 mi 00:30 10:28 pace

Day 2 of my back-to-back running. It was not easy, but I see why my PT had me do a back-to-back this week. My cardio level sucks!

  2. RUN
good Harlem Neighborhood 1.93 mi 00:20 10:22 pace

Day 1 of back-to-back run (as instructed by my PT to do). Only 20 minutes, but I could have done without the humidity :).

  3. RUN
good Hudson River Path 3.03 mi 00:30 09:54 pace

Rain couldn't stop my second outdoor approved run by my PT. Today, I got to run for 30 minutes :).

  4. RUN
    good 2.06 mi 00:20 09:44 pace

Thankful to my PT, Brynn, for allowing me to run 20 minutes outdoors today. Physically tough (my lungs were burning), but emotionally uplifting!

  5. RUN
alright Greenway - North 2.03 mi

Did a test run (2.03 miles) with my mentor and friend Gisela. As not to start the new year injured as I did this year (set a record for physical therapy in one year), or aggravate my recovery from... read more

      Great Performance:

Your body is supposed to be spent during marathon training and replimished during the tapering period. Enjoy tapering you earned it and you will get through Chicago because you are strong!

  11. RUN
    alright 5.02 mi 01:00 11:55 pace

First run since Saturday's long run. Surprisingly, I do not feel that guilty.

  12. RUN
    blah Hudson-Battery Park-Central Park 20.02 mi 03:56 11:47 pace

Thanks! You are so right! Haven't trained in Central Park consistently since 2010. I forgot how hard that section of the park can be.

  17. RUN
alright First Half of My Long Run 10.28 mi 01:57 11:23 pace

Today was the mental and physical battle run day. Split my 3-hour run into halves, so I could cheer on the Percy Sutton 5K runners. It was worth it to see the C25K ladies running strong!!!

  18. RUN
alright Central Park .25+ Loop south... 3.11 mi 00:29 09:25 pace

Ran with the NYRR group tonight, so I could get in some speed work. We did .25 repeats counting down (4, 3, 2, 1).

  19. RUN
alright Hudson Run: Chelsea-Battery Park 7.02 mi 01:13 10:21 pace

After three miles of hill repeats last night in Central Park, I was too tired to run this morning at 6:00 a.m., so I had to run after physical therapy this evening. Definitely prefer my morning runs.

I'm so with you on that, Gail. I'm a lousy evening runner. The dark disorients me and makes me paranoid.

Thanks! I call the hill by Strawberry Fields, Strawberry Hill. When you enter at 72nd you can go left or right. The hill to the left (the thick blue line on the map) is what I call Strawberry Hill.
