Legs are slowly coming back to me. The heat really bit me in the butt at the end today. I was in shady neighborhoods until I turned onto Stockdale Hwy and started roasting. Also, fairly certain I came back from San Francisco with a head cold or something.

Starting to feel a bit better about things now that I did this recovery run. I meant to do it this morning and I was out of bed at 6am but I just didn't have it in me. Probably more psycho-somatic then anything else. I think I still have a couple of we... read more

Congrats Chris. You'll do well in Fresno from the experience today. Like yourself, training for my next marathon (CIM, Silicon Valley or Seattle) will begin next week. Have a restful week ahead.

Just saw the video of you, crossing the finish, you were wrapped up pretty well! How are your legs today?

Surprisingly, it's just standard post long run soreness. I didn't do a recovery run but did bike commute to work. It's a bit worse in the quads but that's to be expected with all the downhill pounding. They slathered my legs in legs in that numbing cream and then wrapped em up in some blue wrap and then tape. When I got up to walk around after all the salt water all my other muscles began spasming. It was craziness but after a couple of minutes I felt good enough to jog in to the finish line.

Last 3 before the marathon. It went pretty smoothly. I could tell I was pushing pace but I really needed it. Too stressed from work. I will be counting down the hours tonight for sure.
