So I finally timed myself over this whole trip. The time is a bit deceptive since around 9 miles of it are spent navigating traffic. Regardless, I figure it's a good way to keep track of progress. I found myself saying things on this ride I don't usually say like - "I'm catching up with myself", "slow down, I don't want to catch up to myself yet" and my favorite; "I'm totally destroying myself!!". Basically I finally used the Virtual Partner on my Garmin and it's AWESOME!! So this is my 5th ride of 2012 but I already beat last weeks Mt Vernon ride by 2.2 miles!! Funny how I'm really only satisfied competing against myself!! Happy Tuesday folks!
