Good to be on the bike again, tried yesterday but got a puncture within the first mile without a spare tube, doh.

I used to forget taking spares with me regularly. A couple of punctures in couple of days cured my amnesia.

great Manchester Marathon 26.2 mi 04:02 09:14 pace
Cold, wet and windy does describe how cold, wet and windy was today! The conditions were horrific! Around mile 21/22 my hamstrings turned into steel rods and started stabbing my buttocks, a fun nig... read more

WWWWOW Jonny!!! I can tell you that I am SO CLEAR about how this feels and I am in AWE of your FIGHT! This is what makes a Marathon Man! You could do this distance in your sleep. You have amazing speed. One day all those factors will come together. But today.... today you went out there and faced so many demons - the elements, the body's pain and you FOUGHT back. You gave as good as you got. YOU did it!!! And you did it 30 minutes quicker than i did when I had optimal conditions and a co-operative body!

Can't be many more runs left. My number is 7208. We are staying in Sale on the Saturday which is handy for the trams to get to Stratford.

One more left! Well two if you include the big one. I get my number on the Saturday at the running expo. I am staying at my mum's house which is on the other side of Manchester, so it's an early start and a tram for me. Will you be going for marathon drinks at tiger tiger in the evening?
