great Speed Work Day 9 mi 01:30 10:00 pace
Seems like everyone does speed work on Thursdays.. My routine: 2 mile warm-up, 3x1600 @ 6:40 with 800 jogs in between, then 2.5 at 8:20. Those jogs really hurt the overall pace.

great 7 mile tempo 7 mi 00:50 07:07 pace
Decent run this morning. Kind of surprised about the pace. I'm starting to see the advantage of dialing in a pace on the treadmill.

great 6 miles easy 6 mi 00:45 07:27 pace
Does running/training turn you into a germaphobe? I went to an interview the other day - shook hands with about 100 people, and now I have a faucet nose. Coincidence? Is is rude to wear a vial of h... read more

great 14 What, me worry? Miles 14.34 mi 01:56 08:03 pace
Thanks to a warm, soft bagel, I have a hanging-by-a-thread cap on a front tooth. Today, during my run, I discovered that cold air causes something to contract, making the cap even looser. So, for 1... read more

great Boston Plan: Day 1 10 mi 01:12 07:10 pace
Fifteen weeks, four days to go. I really want to stick to the plan's mileage and pacing, but I'm really terrible at doing that. Today was supposed to be 7 miles @8:23. Tomorrow for sure.

The gun went off as I was running from my car to the start line so I started in dead last. Still, I managed 28th of 386, and snagged a 2nd in my AG. Really windy today. My splits for miles 1, 2, an... read more
