good Easy run with friend 12.08 mi 01:52 09:17 pace

Howling winds and heavy rain all last night made me think I'd be cancelling this morning run with a friend. The thought of being buffeted by high winds and lashed by driving rain really wasn't appealing today. But fortunately when the hour approached to start my run, the rain and winds kindly relented. It's been a really wet April! I'm looking forward to a fairer weather pattern for May... especially on the 20th when I have another 26.2 miles to run!

This was mostly an easy effort run but we had to sprint some stretches of the route to avoid being splashed by passing cars. I ran in my Vibrams to give my calves a good workout. My run was delightfully rewarded with a heavy, drink-fuelled (late) lunch to celebrate a friend's 40th. I admit, I am a little worse for wear this evening and need an early night. I hope all my friends have a great end to the weekend!

    Your form must be quite dialed in to go from "regular" running shoes to Vibrams and back. Amazing!

    After running 12 miles I think there is nothing more appropriate then to reward one's self with a couple cocktails. Especially when my buddy is flipping the bill. Great run Simon!

    I could've carried on sleeping this morning! Thanks everyone. @Darren The feet only get cold when the Vibrams get wet. Lol, I didn't want to get my new Kinvara's wet and muddy hence I ran in the Vibrams. @Chris Alas, my form still needs plenty of improving! Have a great start to the week friends!
