  1. RUN
    Fargo Marathon 26.2 mi 03:37 08:16 pace

More later, but a bummer of a run on a humid and warm day. Started out strong but the last eight or so were a disaster... Walked more than I ran. Lots of runners had a tough day, but disappointin... read more

Sorry about the tough race Eli. Hard to get the body use to warm and humid when we've been training in cold and wet conditions for months.

Thanks everybody. I'll chalk this one up to a learning experience... And I'll take it! Marathon #4 is in the books and I'm excited for Twin Cities in October.

great Bike commute: Terrace - Centr... 15.8 mi 01:10 13.5mph pace

Nice day for a ride. Hot on the way home but not unpleasant. Two extra miles were up to Jackson Chiro for a great trigger point leg massage with Allison.

Awesome, if 6:35 pace for nearly 8 miles is feeling easy you're ready for a home run performance at Fargo!

Beautiful morning. Legs feel surprisingly fresh after yesterday's run.

  8. RUN
    great Labotter loop 14 14.2 mi 01:38 06:54 pace

Felt great this morning for another negative split run. 3-mile splits 6:56mpm, 6:53, 6:49, 6:47, then 1.4 miles at 6:32. Met a buddy for coffee at that point, then jogged home. Again felt smooth... read more

Fantastic! 7:07 pace should be a breeze for you at Fargo, I'll bet you could run sub-3!

Thanks you two. This was a good one. Colin, I still have yet to run a 90-minute half, at least officially. Goal is 3:10 for Fargo, maybe a bit faster at Twin Cities this fall -- that would be a great season. Beyond that is just too hard to predict but I definitely have my eye on 3:00!

great Bike commute: Terrace - Centr... 13.69 mi 01:00 13.7mph pace

Took off my studded tires earlier this week and feel like I'm riding on rails. Nice morning, snow was falling fairly hard but no accumulation.

  10. RUN
    great Run commute: Sow-Terrace 6.92 mi 00:48 06:58 pace

Fast negative split run commute: First 3 miles just faster than goal race pace at 7:07mpm, next 3 at 6:53, last mile or so at 6:52. Worked hard but felt smooth and relaxed throughout. Nice way to... read more

great Bike commute: Terrace - Centr... 13.69 mi 01:00 13.7mph pace

Back to the summer kit: Slick tires, no fenders. Felt like a new bike!

  13. RUN
good Around White Bear via Abbott ... 23.59 mi 03:10 08:02 pace

Felt great until the last few miles, when I just didn't have the energy to hold pace. Bring on the taper! (Running Fargo May 18.) These long runs are brutal. :-)

  14. RUN
    good Lake O-HANC-B2-Galtier 7m 7 mi 00:48 06:51 pace

Bare pavement! Ran pretty hard. Time is a ballpark.

Yes Eli! Most was gone by afternoon, but the morning run featured plowed up, semi-frozen slushy stuff over 2-3 inches of new snow.

Thanks Steve, will do. This wasn't marathon pace, but goal race time. The idea was to be on my feet and running for as long as I would during the race (aiming for 3:10), but at a slower pace.

Funny Jessica, I had a similar thought about your long run yesterday, I'm guessing it was pretty close to the reverse of my route from Roseville downtown and back. I live just off Rice a few miles south of 96.
