Bang and we all run into the water - there was a lot of people! I did breathing to one side to the first buoy mostly because I had to breathe that often, but it made me feel a tad faster :)
Turn the corner, then a long stretch of swimming - I settled into bilateral breathing and all the swimming I'm doing is paying off - I didn't feel starved for breath at any point! Turn the last corner and book it to shore!
It was warm today! I chose not to wear my wetsuit and I don't regret it!
