    Wow, that was a tough course! Pretty much the first three miles were steep lung burning climbs. Here were my splits: 7:52, 8:51, 8:18, 6:58, 7:22, 9:51 (8:12)

    Tried not to do anything stupid that would further damage the right calf. It felt fine for the most part, but it was difficult running up or down knowing that one of your calf was not 100%.

    It was cold and windy. It felt great once we started running. A bit crowded at the beginning but was able to get past the crowd in the first mile.

    Concrete 5, me 0. For the fifth year in a row the concrete course was very difficult for me to run on. It kept hurting my right knee.
