injured USA Half Marathon Invitational 13.1 mi 01:54 08:43 pace

Ran with 2 sore feet, a sore right hip, and a sore lower back. I felt pretty banged up, but managed a much better time than the last several half marathons. I had more trouble running the downhills... read more

I intended to run the full marathon, but after running the first 2 miles, I knew that I had nothing in the tank. I ended up walking most of the way to the finish line. There was some rain and the w... read more

  3. RUN
tired Avengers Half Marathon 13.1 mi 02:04 09:29 pace

The first mile felt ok, but I knew I went out too fast, so I pulled over to take a picture with the Black Widow. Everything slowed down starting from mile 3.

  4. RUN
alright Avengers Inaugural Captain Am... 6.2 mi 00:49 07:54 pace

The first 5k felt pretty good, but then I faded slowly over the next 5k.

  5. RUN
injured New York City Marathon 26.2 mi 05:27 12:28 pace

Had an ailing right foot. Probably shouldn't have run, but I could not miss this race! I was dealing with leg cramps before reaching mile 13. It's still my favorite marathon!

  6. RUN
injured Los Angeles Rock n' Roll Half... 13.1 mi 02:08 09:44 pace

I was pretty foolhardy going out at about 7:35 for the first mile. The right foot got very sore by mile 5. Could be extensor tendinitis or metatarsal stress fracture.

  7. RUN
tired Atlantic City Marathon 26.2 mi 04:57 11:19 pace

There's a reason why I don't run doubles. I was so tired by mile 6-7! I liked running on the Boardwalk. The boards were a bit more forgiving. The two laps was a bit unpleasant as the road... read more

  8. RUN
tired Monster Mash Marathon 26.2 mi 04:52 11:09 pace

It went okay. My legs cramped up for a couple of miles, but I was able to get them to go away. Left foot and right ankle were both a bit sore. Finally saw Miles the Monster!

  9. RUN
tired Long Beach Marathon 26.2 mi 05:03 11:33 pace

Both ankles were tight from the very first mile. It was a hot day. I had to walk 3 miles from 21-23 to recover from dizzy spells.

  10. RUN
    alright 3.46 miler 3.46 mi 00:29 08:29 pace

Just a little short run to see how the legs feel. The feet felt achy at first, but it went away during the first mile. Not looking forward to the hot weather for the marathon tomorrow.

  11. RUN
tired New Hampshire Marathon 26.2 mi 04:56 11:18 pace

The right ankle started feeling sore at around mile 4. The left foot felt sore the most. It was my first marathon running with a Garmin watch. It helped with running by feel because I actually didn... read more

tired San Jose RnR Half Marathon 13.1 mi 02:00 09:11 pace

  13. RUN
    tired 3.46 miler 3.46 mi 00:30 08:42 pace

  14. RUN
    tired Dodgers 5k 3.1 mi 00:37 11:50 pace

It took a while for me to recover from the 10k, so I was stuck near the back of the corral. Took it slow, but tried to jog here and there. That was pretty brutal to run a 10k and a 5k the day after... read more

  15. RUN
    tired Dodgers 10k 6.2 mi 01:00 09:37 pace

Legs were trashed. It was really hot and humid. I was getting a headache. Not a good idea to run a 10k the day after a marathon.

  16. RUN
tired Wabash Trace Marathon 26.2 mi 04:54 11:12 pace

The course was beautiful and mostly shaded, but my legs felt really heavy. The race course ended with some decent rollers that reduced a lot of us to a walk.

  17. RUN
tired Disneyland Half Marathon 13.1 mi 01:58 09:02 pace

The sore right ankle led to a sore hip, but I got it done in under 2 hrs and kept the legacy.
