    good Progression 13.43 mi 02:22 10:36 pace

Last long run of the season where I come back cold, I hope! I raced last week in shorts and a tank, but at 52ºF I was among only a handful of women who did. I layer up like a sissy for training r... read more

Way to work on progression, sometimes that wind factor makes it challenging!

great Time Travel 5.72 mi 01:00 10:26 pace

I woke up this morning in February. Two inches of new snow on the ground, more coming down, 28ºF and a sucker-punch wind. The snow isn't sticking, by afternoon it had melted off the pavement ... read more

Yikes. I woke up this morning and it was 70 degrees and I went for a nice run in the mountains. By the time I got done, around 9am, it was getting a bit hot.

Sounds like you did a great job, Elodie! I love 10-mile races. It's actually my favorite race distance! The hot showers and buffet afterward sound perfect.

Sounds like the post-race accommodations more than made up for the inconvenient surfaces prior. I've never done a golf course race but now I want to. And great job on the age group placing. That's a lot of other girls in your AG. Fore!

Check it out, Elodie screamed through this difficult course, wow! 5/43 is awesome, especially with muddy shoes and wet feet. Maybe running through winter really helped you get even tougher. Fantastic performance, I hope you feel great about it! The hot shower, locker, and food sound like a great topper.

    good Tempo 10 mi 01:41 10:08 pace

Last hard day before my 10M race on Sunday, and oh, was that ever tough! 2 x 20min. at tempo pace with a mile recovery, which is plenty, but the gusts (20mph) zapped my oomph. 9:06 mpm and 8:51 m... read more
