Easy 2 miles to loosen up the legs and test race day equipment. Carrying 5 gels is rather heavy and annoying, so I'll probably ditch the additional lucozade tablets I was going to take. Definitely won't take the iPhone but will probably take my mini camera/recorder (Muvi Atom) for the odd photo and video capture en route.
I ran at just over 8minute mile pace which felt very comfortable.
The weather will be similar tomorrow - although it's cool we're now in late April and the sun is warm so I'll probably not wear my base layer, just my running vest. Hands were cold so I may take may very light running gloves which I can tuck away in my race belt once they warm up.
Carb loading has gone pretty well although it's been an effort to get up the intake to the required levels:
