good Run to work (9 miler) with Victoria Park loop. 9.01 mi 01:16 08:25 pace

I admit I groaned this morning when the alarm went off at 6.30am knowing I had to run 9 miles to work! Perhaps a bit of fatigue is setting in and my energy levels are a bit low - I've noticed quite a dramatic loss of weight in the last 2 or 3 weeks since my running has increased in intensity, I've shed about 3KG/7Lbs and am obviously not replacing the calories I'm burning off. Despite that, the runs are almost becoming "easy" dare I say it. This morning's run felt quite mechanical from start to finish...I wasn't pushing for a time or varying my pace much, just kept it steady. Tomorrow however I want to do an interval session on the treadmill to train my legs for the kick up in pace that I was able to produce in Brighton to such surprising effect

The aches from Sunday have gone and it seems finally my cough/cold is slowly starting to subside, I'm now on antibiotics to clear the last dregs of it so hopefully it won't be long before I can finish a run without bursting into a coughing fit at the end!

It was great to meet the QPR Community Trust this week and discuss fundraising ideas for the marathon, over the next couple of weeks we should be getting much more publicity out there and hopefully the amount pledged will start to kick up.

Sounds like your fitness is improving. It is not uncommon to lose a few pounds when training hard. But make sure you are eating enough so you can continue to train at a high intensity.
