I have no idea how far we went, but it was an interesting hike. It consisted of a long paved path, and then a path along the area that got burned during the Station Fires. Not sure if it was just the fires that were started to contain the wild/brush fires, but it was like being on another planet (um, as imagined by Star Trek, perhaps). There was some greenery, and areas that weren't touched. Otherwise, our view consisted of mostly the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

A couple of runners ran by, which got me wanting to run ahead of my friends... for reconnaissance, you always need someone for that, right? I think this "trail" would make a nice running path, maybe... a quick change of pace. Other than the paved road, the rest of it is woodsy, with lots of animals and birds rustling around.
