I did it! Mind over matter! This took a lot of bargaining with myself - "Come on, just three miles... okay, you just did three, you can do one more... alright, just two more to go, come on, it'll be easy!" Meanwhile, Katharine Heigl's and Anderson Cooper's heads loom over me in the gym's tv screens. But I should be happy. The last time I was on a treadmill, I could only do one and a half miles. Now look at me. I finished off with 50 girl-push-ups. Raaaaah!

Fantastic job! Nice positive self-talk on the dreadmill. Very mentally tough to run an hour in one place, inside, on a noisy, wobbly machine!!!

Thanks! It's always motivating to think that afterwards, I can come on here and brag about it.

Hell yes! Pat yourself on the back for your hard work. You deserve it! :) I hope the air clears up soon. I used to live in Orange County and I know how bad the air can be from those crazy fires!

Good job! On tough runs it's all about the small victories. I always tell myself- "just to the next stoplight."

Thanks guys! All of my training for the last three months for the half marathon paled in difficulty to the dreaded mill of death.
