I'd like to try this route. Is this an out and back route? Where do you start and end? I know the route around the Rose Bowl is a 5K loop.

You can do an out and back run definitely. There are a few places to begin and end. I started from the Rose Bowl at the intersection of Arroyo Blvd and Seco. It's hard to figure out where you are by the names of the streets. What I noticed on my first trip on this route is you might want to keep track of the bridges above you. The first bridge you see is Holly Street, the second is Colorado, and the third is La Loma. Here's the route I used:

I was going to say, I stopped at La Loma because I was confused about where to stop. You can actually keep running to Highland Park and Eagle Rock, I think. Someone said there's a "Rooster Park" there where you'll see chicken and horses running around.
