Sometime the hard part of running isn't the running, but the getting out of bed part. I miss when I was able to somehow pop out of bed at 6am. Maybe the initial enthusiasm about running made it easier. So today I found some time after work today to running, and I'm glad the sun is back to being still out past 5pm. Hopefully I woke up my legs a little after a couple of sparse running weeks. Probably not as prepared as I wanted to be, but I think I'll be able to do the LA Marathon. Excited about the crowds, and the sights. Not so much the logistical preparations. Getting to the starting line (ahhh, hope there's not a lot of traffic) and getting back home from the finish line (Will I lose all ability to drive? Will there even be parking in Santa Monica? Who is going to pick me up and take me home after? Should I take the bus, which incidentally will probably be slower than running back on fresh legs?)
