Lots of people I know are running the Firecracker 10K. I was going to try running my 20 miles the day before and just make it an easy recovery "race" but now I really want to be part of the action... what to dooooo...

    I would take it as a recovery run. I will be there jogging the 5k

    If the LAM is your true goal, get your 20 out of the way and run the race as a recovery. Those are my two cents anyway.

    Thanks! I really was going to follow both of your advice, but I ended up not having time the day before to run the 20-miler. So instead I ran the race on fresh legs, and left a little room for an 18-miler in the afternoon. That 10k would have been on "hill" of a recovery though. Yikes.
