I don't often get nervous before hitting "publish" but this one made me bite my nails- Some call me gutsy, others stupid-- I think I'm a little of both. Before I loose my nerve, here is another very personal post. ----> http://www.runwiki.org/2015/03/09/the-gift-and-curse-of-passion/#.VP3MOfnF9x4

I like your personal posts. You have a lot more in common with people than you may think,

Glad your mom knew how to resuscitate a baby. That was the one thing I lived in fear of when my daughter was young. My pool was a fortress- with an alarm on the gate!

So, each day of life is a gift.

wow- I did some funny stuff as a teenager too. Best thing was that we would go around to business signs, the ones with removable letters, and rearrange the letters into lewd sayings. he he he. i still get a kick out of it.

Thanks for sharing, Lisa. Besides the obvious “Don’t mess with my family” parenting instinct, I have a hard time reigning myself in when it comes bad, distracted or just inconsiderate drivers I meet while running. I read something (I can’t remember where) that helped. The author wrote, “Before you react, think about the drivers’ reaction to the NEXT runner he/she encounters.” That makes it a little easier for me to suck it up.
