I live around packs of coyotes (and mountain lions). Running into one or two coyotes wouldn't scare me but seeing a pack would!

I did a fair bit of pool running (I refused to call it aqua jogging to save my dignity) a couple of years ago while training for my first marathon with a knee injury. Doing it without the belt made me work harder but it was difficult to keep my heart rate up- you really have to push yourself to keep the turnover high. Good luck!
