  1. 3.4 mi / 00:28 08:14 pace

Good morning run on the treadmill. Shoulder is feeling great, I can finally get back to a normal running schedule. I was encouraged by my pace today, felt comfortable, didnt want to push it too much though. Hopefully go a little longer tomorrow.

  2. alright 3.12 mi / 00:28 08:58 pace

Slowly easing my way back into the running. Its really awkward currently. My shoulder still needs support, so I have to run with my left hand clutching my shirt, otherwise it becomes painful.

Overall good run, it was on a treadmill, so it wasnt the ... read more

  3. alright 1.5 mi / 00:14:20 09:33 pace

Well I have been absent for quite a while. Back in September I dislocated my shoulder and that kind of put a damper on things. By early December I was back to nearly 100%. Then out of nowhere I dislocated it again first week of Dec. So eventually I... read more

  4. goodRiver Run 5.18 mi / 00:44 08:28 pace

A very nice run along the river here in Grand Rapids. The temp was about perfect, high 50s, no wind. The skies were clear and I got to see the city from the riverfront. The I ran down one side of the river, crossed the bridge back into the city and ... read more

Wow. This is my first run back from the shoulder injury, man did I feel good. I attribute that to the cool weather here in Michigan. I put on couple lbs since the shoulder injury, now its time to get back to work.

  6. good 13.3 mi / 00:40 20.0mph pace

Thanks to Kris R for suggesting watching a show. I watched some HBO series on demand and the time flew by. I getting a little more used to sitting inside and being on the trainer, although I dont prefer it.

Learn to love it over the next few weeks... Order a 'series' from Netflix or catch up on some old shows. You'll be back running in no time! If it makes you feel any better I haven't run all week with my taper....

Good stuff. Janeen was the one that gave me the idea when she did her 100 miles of nowhere challenge. She's got lots of good ideas (and people suggesting good ideas to her):

  7. good 12 mi / 00:36 20.0mph pace

Another day on the trainer. Bored to death, I did up my minutes by 6 from yesterday. So I will continue to up the minutes each day. Just trying to fight through the boredom. Shoulder is feeling great though! I dont feel that bad at all. So thumbs... read more

If it makes you feel any better, I'm in taper mode now... I feel your pain, well, not in the shoulder, but I know it's tough.

You need a book or TV show to keep you entertained. Most hour-long TV episodes in the USA are 43 minutes long. That's a suitably good next target right :D?

  8. good 10 mi / 00:30 20.0mph pace

This is the first ride on the stationary. I will increase my time slowly, but everyone is right, this is a mind numbing way to exercise. Shoulder feels ok, but i have very little range of motion. It felt great to get a nice sweat in today though, s... read more

Sorry to hear about the shoulder, Daniel. I hope that gets better soon. Didn't seem to affect your spin; excellent mileage coverage and pace.
