great Kung fu & sparring 01:30

Super fun Thai kickboxing drills in class, then I got to spar with sifu (twice!) and spar/grapple with si hing. Would have been more awesome had I remembered my sweeps from guard -- oh well!

    good Kung fu 00:30

Also, my 100 Pushups test. Did 10. That's halfway to my first goal...

  4. #dailymission Pretty much exactly what happened at my first half marathon -- except with fresher legs, and preferably they won't be out of finisher's medals either.

  5. FIT
    alright Jiu jitsu 01:00

    I suck at "shrimping"...

    great Kung fu + 100 pushups 01:00

Private lesson went well, I remembered most of the forms. Then some wall bag practice and 100 Pushups program (31 total).

  8. #dailymission This might sound dumb -- but running the mile at my middle school track meet. It was incredibly hard and I was second to last, but I did it... asthma and all. That first mile is the m... read more

    good Jiu jitsu 01:30

Open mat. Not too many people today, we we went over sweeps from guard position, and I took it easy on the open rolling rounds.

good Third Odyssey Leg 6.3 mi 01:22 13:05 pace

Felt this one in my lungs more than my legs. But I was running through my 'hood (bottom of Geiger to Double Diamond Athletic Club), which helped me rally. Also, LAST LEG! Everybody is always s... read more

alright Second Odyssey Leg 6 mi 01:15 12:31 pace

My 3am run from the bottom of Kingsbury into Genoa. I was a little freaked out because of the dark and got a nasty asthma attack near the end. If I had trained a little better (lol) I think this wo... read more

Have fun! I raced the Odyssey a couple of times and always had a blast. My favorite leg was the grinder (Leg#4?) on the trail. Tons of fun! I hear it's supposed to be a little chilly, keep warm!

OMG, you did Dog Valley? I salute you! I'm not too worried about the weather, as long as you have proper clothes, it's usually easier to run in cool weather than super hot. :)

  16. RUN
great First Odyssey Leg 4.81 mi 00:57 11:54 pace

Up Hwy 89 to Squaw's Olympic flame. Got a drive-by cheer and sweaty hugs from bf's parents. I was so proud of this one -- it was a 100% gradual uphill, but it felt soooo good.

  17. FIT
good Kung fu and pushups 00:45

The only kung fu class I can make this week... because the rest of the week has been taken up with holidays and the upcoming Odyssey! YAY ODYSSEY!
