I tripped on something (not exactly sure what - one second I was running, the next I was on the ground minus one layer of skin on my knee) about halfway into this (and thus, about as far away from where I started as possible). I stopped and walked back to a gas station to get some napkins/water to clean up the mess and created quite a scene with the coagulated blood running all over my leg/shoe. I eventually got everything cleaned up enough to head back and actually managed a good pace in spite of it all!! I think this was mostly just a skin injury so I don't anticipate any problems tomorrow.


OUCH!! How terrible! I guess you didn't have much of a choice, but good job getting back on the road and running back -- and at quite an impressive pace too! I hope you're knee is better soon, Lisa!

Way to push through. Be careful on the Indy Mini. The roads are not that great and last year I nearly twisted my ankle on the train tracks that cross the race course.
