First swim since the rough chest-congested Tri swim a month ago. Luckily felt pretty good overall. Ended up using a nose clip to cut down on the fluid exchange in the nasal cavities (TMI?). I guess that means I'll at least try to race with it as well. Also gave a 2:3 breathing patter a try on a few sets. I liked it, felt stronger, but need to work on my left side breathing for it to be really effective. Also finally realized why I'm taking in more water in my mouth during breathing, think it is due to using a swim cap during practice, think the water is more readily flowing with that. Finally... also put a bit more focus on keeping my head looking at the bottom instead of rotating with my body. Just have to watch and make sure I don't get sloppy with rotation and start aggravating my left shoulder again.
