How long have you been running? How long did it get you to run long distances? I'm feeling my body get stronger, but I think I'm impatient. I guess I expect my body to recover sooner than it does...

I've been running since fall of '05. I did several Half marathons before I got into marathons. You probably are impatient, but success is a double edge sword, it's rewarding, but the feeling makes us want to achieve more. Your first injury that prevents you from running will be a reality check. You can curb this by making sure you don't ratchet up intenstiy and mileage more than 10% each week. Don't go crazy doing speedwork before you've built up a good base of mileage and include REST as a training day.
