I pushed a little too hard on Saturday and made the mistake yesterday of not going for a recovery run. So, this morning I'd planned on easing back into things and pushing this week's speedwork to Tuesday/Thursday. After a couple of miles in the cool weather though, I found myself looking down from the top of Mt Jasmine, as Keith K. calls it, and decided to just go for it. It's a little shorter than the hill outside my house, but is also steeper. Since it was an impromptu workout I didn't bother measuring or timing each interval. I just pushed hard from the bottom to the hill to the telephone pole with the light at the top. Almost let myself off the hook after 6, but added a couple more when I thought prolonging the workout might improve my chances of seeing the sun rise. I didn't get my wish, but still wound up with an honest day's work on a beautiful morning. Hope you have a great Monday.
