good East Ithaca Recreation Way 9.07 mi 01:16 08:20 pace

Last morning in Ithaca and opportunity to explore what it has to offer in the way of running routes. My heart wanted to go back to the South Hill Recreation Way that I ran on yesterday, but my brain said I really should check out the other rails-to-trails route in town before leaving.

From downtown to the trailhead was a b!tch, as expected. Almost 400' of climbing over the first two miles, which is a lot for a flatlander, like me. Like yesterday's though, this trail leveled out and was pretty easy to run on. Unlike South Hill, this trail was paved the entire way and ran through more residential areas. Surprisingly, I saw a few deer and rabbits on this route, but none yesterday. Anyway, it was another great run on yet another beautiful morning.

Finishing up at the college this morning and then traveling home this afternoon. Couldn't avoid the heat and humidity forever, I suppose. :)
