  2. RUN
alright Dismal Swamp Canal Trail 10.03 mi 01:22 08:10 pace

More recovery miles at the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail. My back is still acting up, but it is getting better each day. Lack of core work for two weeks plus travel didi it.

  3. RUN
    good 6.06 mi 00:48 07:54 pace

A nice recovery run that was faster than planned, but I needed to try and stretch out my sore lower back. Let's just hope it gets sorted out by next weekend for the trail half.

  4. RUN
good Western States 100 Pacing 38.5 mi 10:15 15:57 pace

Just a little run through the California mountains with a friend. I'll let Steve S. tell the rest.

Thanks for all the support last weekend Greg, and especially for keeping me on track for that sub-24 buckle. What a pleasant little run through the mountains it was!

  5. RUN
good Oak Grove Lake Park 10.83 mi 01:36 08:51 pace

Final DD long run before #WS100. They were having a grassroots race with a half, 27, or 30 mile option. I saw a woman I had paced at Dismal Swamp Stomp half named Analiza, and she was running the 3... read more

  6. RUN
good Old Neighborhoods 6.01 mi 00:45 07:31 pace

A hot little run through the old neighborhoods in my Father's Day present, a new pair of Nike Pegasus 31. A good, solid shoe, but I've always liked the Pegasus.

    good 20 mi 02:58 08:52 pace

Last long run and gear check before my Western States 100 pacing duties. I ran at night with the headlamp, used my handhelds filled with Tailwind lemon flavor, and took an Island Boost every hour. ... read more

Are you wearing a hydration best to stow all your stuff? I need to try one. Great run buddy! You're going to rock the pacing duties!

Marie, I'm not wearing a hydration vest, just using handhelds with little pockets and a spi belt to help hold Tailwind and Island Boost packets. I don't like anything over my shoulders.
