My reward for finishing today's sweatfest in the heat and humidity is to watch the women's marathon. Thanks to #John M. for not spoiling results when we met out on the road. Saw more runners and cyclists today than usual. Olympic inspiration?
Started the run in cloudy and breezy 75F/23C conditions which felt comfortable, even with the humidity. Later in the run, the sun broke through and the heat and humidity took control. By the end of the run, the r/w 2:30/0:30 walk breaks felt too short. Now, a cold shower and back to the Olympics!

I too started my run under grey clouds and finished in sunshine. Temperature here just a few degrees cooler but less humidity I guess. I did watch the marathon before my run though.

Yeah, I was a little surprised to see so many folks out on the road.

Be glad you weren't running here today. I just got home in time to escape rain as poured from buckets, with thunder and lightning that went on and on. I was even terrorised into switching off my computer. I bet the proportion of people who ran as well as watched the running was very small. I certainly know 1 person who told me she hasn't had time for much exercise lately, what with the tennis & then the Olympics!
