  1. RUN
    good better 5 5 mi 00:58 11:38 pace

Ran the same course and distance as 2 days ago and felt much better. It helped that the exercise I use to unlock/align my hips worked this morning (my glutes get tight when my hips are unaligned).... read more

  2. RUN
    tired hmmm 5 mi 01:04 12:45 pace

I was glad that the weather gods made my local weather today the same as the forecast for VCM next Sunday. Got a feel for temp, wind, sun, etc. Too bad my body wasn't working properly today.... read more

That's exactly how I look at a bad run before a race! If I don't have a bad run, then I'm afraid that race day will be the day for it! Glad you got this one over with so you can look forward to a fabulous race-day run!

  3. RUN
good keep moving 3.25 mi 00:38 11:49 pace

I wasn't feeling energetic, but my dailymile friends "pushed" me out the door again. Just a gentle run on a mild, breezy evening. As usual, glad I did it.

  4. RUN
good Red Clover Rovers fun run 3 mi 00:27 09:02 pace

A cool and cloudy fun run. 2 weeks ago, it was a lot warmer. Go figure. Just not feeling speedy these days, but it is fun to run with my neighbors (and eat homemade cookies:-).

  5. As a mid-50s, mid-pack runner, I thought I was finished with winning anything, but Garmin just changed that by selecting me as their Girls on the Run Solemate of the Month for May, 2013. It feels ... read more

  6. RUN
    good 6+2 8 mi 01:32 11:26 pace

Planned to do 3 miles out and 3 miles back, but on the way back, I kept detouring to add some hill work (and mileage). I will be climbing Battery St. at VCM in 2 weeks. Nice 65F/18C day with a pl... read more

  7. RUN
good warm one 5 mi 00:53 10:37 pace

Started slowly at noon on a 75F/23C, blue sky day. Wanted to run in some heat in case my race in a couple of weeks is on a hot day. New newtons felt good. Ran up and down my favorite hill and fini... read more

  8. RUN
good local loop 3.24 mi 00:38 11:48 pace

Looked like rain as I headed out the door, but it held off until 2 minutes after my run, then came down hard for a few minutes. That was nice as I was taking my new Newtons out for their first run... read more

good dog run out and back 2 mi 00:22 11:03 pace

My older female Jada goes out at a sprint and is then content to return home at an easy trot. Just the opposite of how I like to run. :-) The Canada geese were not happy to see the 2 of us run pa... read more

  12. RUN
good RCR fun run 3 mi 00:28 09:22 pace

First Red Clover Rovers fun run of the season. The 6:30 start time was warmer (70F/20C) than normal for this time of year, so there really wasn't much speed in me this evening. Love these race... read more

  13. RUN
good out and back, up and down 4.9 mi 00:55 11:13 pace

A beautiful 70F/20C day for a run up and down my favorite hill. Really enjoyed the Canada geese banter on the pond and the babbling brook flowing down the hill.

  14. RUN
good around the track 5 mi 00:53 10:37 pace

I ran 5x800s with a 4 minute walk break between each. I called it a half Yasso 800s session - to see how my half marathon training is going. LOL Ran each in just about 4 minutes, so I should be g... read more

That's probably right, though obviously it has more to do with endurance than speed. I would set that pace as a goal and see how things are going after 8-9 to make adjustments.

good hilly track workout? 2.85 mi 00:31 10:51 pace

Planned to do a short track workout, but the field was being used, so instead I ran up and down a local hill. Two very different kinds of effort. Maybe the track will be available tomorrow.

Jody - Still finalizing plans for VCM. Probably will be at expo on Saturday aft. I will be in touch closer to date.
Sandra - I will probably be at the GOTR 5K run in Brattleboro on that Saturday morn. Not planning to work the table at the expo this year. Is a DM meet up being planned?
