Post-rain run. I'm a month ahead of schedule!!
7:45 pace for the first ten minutes, then gradually progressed to an 8:45 pace by 45 minutes. Definitely had to focus on my breathing for most of this run, and was able to manage my pace by choosing a steady rhythm pattern of inhaling and exhaling (this also prevented the dreaded one-song-line-repetition problem from occurring). The most amazing thing is that I don't feel like I was pushing that much harder than the last time I ran, but I shaved 45 seconds off my pace average.
THIS WAS ALMOST BETTER THAN SEX.
Also I almost ran over a self-absorbed pedestrian who didn't hear me calling ahead until I was nearly on top of her.
(Note: this is only the 9th time I've gone running in the last 1.5 years and probably the 15th time I've gone running in the last 10. And I have no doubt it's because I switched to Vibrams.)
