My sub-4 attempt started good, but the constant unexpected uphills did a number on me. I struggled to keep up with pacer and lost her around 20. Shortly after both hip flexors started killing me and I had no choice but to walk. I tried to run for a few minutes here and there but the pain was so sharp that I'd walk again. The last few miles were all uphill with the whole of 25 being a straight up. I did what I could to finish in a mix of shuffling and walking, though I managed to run at the very end. I didn't realize the course was this difficult when I chose it. Disappointing day.
