As I suspected - a painful session to start the day. My new orthotics are realigning my hips so we spent heaps of time doing Active Isolated Stretches to try to loosen things up. Frankly I could have used more than an hour and a half today, but I don't think my body could take it. I am planning to go into Chinatown to get more work done on my feet and calves, they still need help. Hips feel better. I feel completely exhausted now. Heavy limbed and needing rest. Sat at work for another 4 hours, please end quickly!

    What I would really like is a yoga class tonight... But I have to be home. Gentle commute to work felt good, feet up later, then RUN TOMORROW! :-)

    That will make two of us limping through London Tri !
    I managed to get back on my bike today after crashing off on Sunday. Think 2 days complete rest & lazing around home feeling sorry for myself gave my legs a rest they needed.
    I have yet to run the 10k, was planning to do it Sunday but didnt work out :-(
    I really still want to do London and if I have to go slower then I will enjoy the atmosphere this year and get the experirnce and gp back next year stronger.

    Zoe you are so right! I haven't done 10k yet on my legs. But I marshalled Hyde Park on Sunday. There is no shame in walking part of the run. The atmosphere is amazing and it is all experience for the next one. I am so with you! What time is your wave?

    I'm in the 12:10 wave on Sunday.
    Wish I could have marshalled Hyde Park but was working Saturday and fell of my bike Sunday but then I watched it on TV !!
    I'm going for the atmosphere and experience this year. Also the challenge as will be my first Olympic distance.

    I'm at 11:50 in the mixed wave, so you will pass me on the run or the bike. Look for the really slow person in aqua tri top and shorts. On run I will be wearing white compression socks with ankle braces. It's my first Oly too. Ready for everything but the run, and that I will just walk!

    A big "if" I'll catch you ! I'm in a black tri suit ( of course there'll only be me in black !!) my race number is 7511. I will probably have a white baseball cap on and Nike shoes with orange laces and orange flash.
    The run is the bit I am really bad at and slow ! As long as I finish before dark and get my medal I'll be happy !! But by the time I get to the run I think nearly finished...
    Maybe see you in finish area or transition collecting bike & kit ?

    Hi Zoe: You will catch me up! Not sure my number, but my splits should be 30 min swim; 1hr 30 min bike (maybe more) and then at least 1hr 30 min run. And... I have a long transition (15 min total)... So you'll see me on the run! Aqua top, black shorts, unless I get my club kit next week!

    Your split times are almost identical to what I'm hoping for ! But could be a lot worse due to current injuries from bike crash, but determined to start & finish - we all get a medal what ever time we finish in.
