Wow. First time I'm saying this: I had FUN today - thank you @uktricoach! 400s race pace 30sec rest between. And lunges. And my first full pain free and easy squats EVER.

goodPost work spin 00:45
What a great way to start the weekend! Not my favourite instructor but high energy sprints and climbs which were fun. Why do some instructors like spinning in the dark? And why don't they correct people who have a too low cadence or who stare at the gr... read more

Thursday at the Track 5.2 km 01:00 18:34 pace
Started off very tired, but this was a mental challenge as much as physical. Amazing that I did just over 5km before work, whereas a year ago this would have been no more than a dream! I have spent since December working with @uktricoach on my run and... read more

Good session - I hope to try running tonight / tomorrow but an easy 5km. When have you been advised to taper off do you have any bike sessions this weekend planned ?
I did an active taper before Blenheim and it did not work well for me... My legs need complete rest. I am stopping on Tuesday evening next week. So nothing Weds - Sat, race Sun. Maybe cycle commutes but nothing else.
This weekend I have a track set Saturday, hoping to cycle up there and back, and the Nokia Thames 2.25 mile Swim on Sunday. Crazy! But should all be fun! :-)

As I suspected - a painful session to start the day. My new orthotics are realigning my hips so we spent heaps of time doing Active Isolated Stretches to try to loosen things up. Frankly I could have used more than an hour and a half today, but I don'... read more

Hi Zoe: You will catch me up! Not sure my number, but my splits should be 30 min swim; 1hr 30 min bike (maybe more) and then at least 1hr 30 min run. And... I have a long transition (15 min total)... So you'll see me on the run! Aqua top, black shorts, unless I get my club kit next week!

Your split times are almost identical to what I'm hoping for ! But could be a lot worse due to current injuries from bike crash, but determined to start & finish - we all get a medal what ever time we finish in.

Legs felt tight. Managed through cramping by grabbing pull buoy towards end. Done as:
4 warm up (free kick free polo)
8, 6, 4, 2 at moderate pace 15sec rest between sets.
2, 4, 6, 6 at hard pace 30sec rest between - at set of 4 I started cramping. Gra... read more-

Hi Mish! I have a 2.25 mile open water swim on Sunday the 1st, which I am going to go and have fun at (and if I can hit doing it in 1 hour I will be very pleased, but no pressure)... Then on 8 August is my main race, the London Triathlon. It will be the first time I hit 10km running, so kind of nervous about that fact, but overall ready. I may do another race in October (Olympic tri) but will decide after London... Very ready to smack this week of training and then rest for the 8th! :-)

With @uktricoach - more visualisation and confidence building. At the end of a hard week my legs felt tired and I was slower than usual but I didn't lose form or stability which was good. Done as: 800 warmup, 2500, 1200, 800. Feel it in my patella ten... read more

Donna
I honestly have deep respect for anyone who does spinning... I can't.. well I tried once.. almost broke my back.... I prefer my regular road bike ;) so... 45 minutes.. wow... I'd survive 5... ;) lol
about 16 hours agoWe have a spinning teacher who has the main lights out but a spinning disco ball in the centre of the room ! Weird but fun sessions.
about 14 hours agoA great way to start the weekend. Nice work. The best instructor that I had used to get off his bike and run around to check if he suspected you weren't working hard enough.
about 2 hours agoIt was fun! My favourite instructor is a Cat1 or 2 cyclist. He is no gimmicks just work. But Friday evening I gotta admit she's fun!
