I think I'm going to start a question of the day.
What is your favorite running/biking route and why? Mine is a short run around the Battery and Battery Park City, basically just around the tip of Manhattan and up the Hudson River a bit. The run is best on a nice fall day when the weather is perfect and the leaves are falling in Battery Park. It's one of the very few places and times that I can let my mind settle and tune out all the normal stressors and just enjoy being outside and running. There's none of the normal stream of underlying thoughts about what I should be doing - just quiet.

I like running in the nature park. Partly because now that I am a BF runner I can see more animals that I would have other wise scared off with the clip clop of my feet.

I like that new path that runs from Battery Park up the west side. There's so much to see and you're pretty insulated from auto traffic. I've only run it in the summer time (so far) but look forward to doing it in the cooler weather some time soon!

My favorite running route is my boardwalk. Water soothes me and I love running in the wintertime and seeing the sun peek up over the water. Perfection. Riding I kinda love to explore so I'll get back to you on my fav route.

Central Park bridle path is my favorite run route. It's away from crowds and certain paths are so nice and soft I don't know whether I should keep running or take a nap.
I don't have too many ride routes, but for now I guess I'd have to go with River Road along 9W for the lack of traffic and the workout.

I really like the Nyack ride but only because I really like the beautiful houses that sit beside the Hudson and I really enjoy the Runcible Spoon. But my favorite ride is along the Belt Parkway from Sheepshead Bay across the Marine Parkway Bridge and over to Jacob Riis Park (beach.) I feel totally disconnected from NYC when I'm out there.
