It was a beautiful morning for a nice but short tempo run. I ran my favorite route around the Battery and turned around at the Koi pond behind the World Financial Center.
I weighed the idea of running up to the Manhattan Bridge and doing some short hill intervals but talked myself out of it when I realized how dark it was when I set out to run. I had to stick with what I considered a safer route

Great pace! Nice run Daniel...

Safer route?! I've run all over manhattan bridge on both sides in the morning and evening darkness. No apparent threats around that I could see.

@Matt, there is a camp of homeless people on the Manhattan side of the bridge. I don't mind them generally, but I don't want to run by them in the dark either.

Psshh they never bothered me but I do have huge biceps so that might be the difference.

Nice quick run! How's your ankle/leg/ITB/whatever these days?

@Daniel @Matt, I doubt many homeless people could catch either of you.

@Matt, I think it's the large gun you always have in your hands. Obama will have to pry it out of your cold, dead hands... didn't you say something like that.
@Caleb - the knee got a little sore. The ankle is wonky, but it didn't bother me on the run. I've been doing lots of ankle strengthening exercises the last couple weeks - I have a theraband wrapped around my Mac Pro at work.

Nice run. Maybe next time you should challenge yourself more by trying to outrun the homeless crazies.
