    My back was hurting, so I decided to walk. I was at my parents' house and my nephew came with me. I was plenty entertained by the musing's of an 8 year old!

    Found a place to do a trail run in Tucson. Ran the Bear Creek trail in Sabino Canyon, with about 580 ft. elevation chance. It was a tough run, but beautiful!

    Hiked around the Great Sand Dunes, probably about 700ft. elevation gain to the highest dune. Not sure if the distance is correct, but this was definitely a good workout climbing huge sand dunes!

      I tape my heels (with athletic tape) to give an extra layer - and on long, tough hikes in the heat, I stop every hour and dry my feet off and swap to the dry socks hanging on my pack. Hiked 5 days this summer and no blisters.
