Lets just say things did not go as planned. I did not hit the trail until about 9 AM when the sun was already ablaze with few clouds and no wind to speak of. So I decided to run a different part of my usual trail which turned out to be all hills, and then some more hills, followed by more hills. Sensing a pattern here? Yeah - me too. My legs were already feeling beat up which meant the hills tested the very fiber of my will power. I did OK but fell short of my desired distance by a considerable amount. Considering the week I've had I'll call it a "good" run and walk away knowing I still came out on the plus side. Peace everyone.

    You didn't get the mileage you wanted, but all those hills surely make up for it. Great run despite the unexpected difficulty, just gotta roll with it sometimes.
