Started off thinking I'd do some intervals but after blowing the first 3 with splits waaaaay under what I was shooting for, I ran out of gas. I have to re-learn how to pace myself at faster paces.

DEFEATED. Set out to run with Tommy for 6x1000m repeats. Managed to hold on through the first 3 but after that I couldn't keep pace. Ate a burger about 1hr before, definitely didn't sit well.

Hate eating too much before running, always at risk! Way to tough it out!

Next time try it with some proper run nutrition - like Jalapeno poppers and Chernobyl hot wings. I hear shots of tequila work pretty well too. : )

Great run around the Back Bay/Eastern Prom with Denis and Tom. Great just talking about life while knocking out some quality miles. It feels like spring is here, crossing the fingers that it stays.

Nicely done Derek. That's an awesome pace. I haven't seen many workouts from you lately. Every thing OK?

Met up with Denis again. Nice to have a weekly meet up to help get out the door and enjoy the social aspect of running. Took it easier tonight. First 5k of the year for me this weekend, definitely not in 5k shape yet but it'll be a good time.

That is the frustrating part of running - pacing. No magic secret other than trying and retrying. Good job for getting the miles in.
