Met my newest running buddy Amy at Arcadia HS at 5a this morning for some Thursday run fun. Started with 4.5 mi w/u with strides and then started the workout...8 x 1 mi repeats at 6:10 with 1 minute rest. Amy had them at 6:15, but she just let me pace and hung on to me the whole time. She killed it and she's really ready to take a shot at her Olympic Qualifier in a couple of weeks!! Splits were 6:05, 6:05, 6:03, 6:03, 6:02, 6:04, 6:03 and 5:57. She kept remarking how consistent I was pacing these, and even I have to admit...that's damn consistent! ;-) Finished up with a 2.5 mi c/d solo. Another workout in the books. Glad this is over, too. Breathing felt great...easy...controlled. Legs felt like garbage...trashed...no bueno. It was great seeing my buddy Carol this morning, too!


Those are incredibly consistent! Especially with the trashed legs. Hope they feel better tomorrow.
